Our Goal
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, the standard used by most accessibility laws and policies in the United States.
What We Have Done
- Every page has a "Skip to content" link and a logical heading structure.
- Menus, buttons and forms work with a keyboard, and the keyboard focus is always visible.
- Text and buttons meet WCAG AA color contrast.
- Images that carry meaning have text alternatives, and decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
- Form fields have labels, required fields are marked, and error messages say what to fix.
- Nothing on the website plays sound or video on its own, and the layout works on phones and with text zoom.
Known Limitations
Some content comes from other providers, such as the form plugin's scripts and the external websites we link to, and may not fully meet WCAG. We review new pages and features before we publish them and fix the problems we find.
